Yogah Chitta Vritti Nirodohah
Yoga is the uniting of consciousness in the heart.
Remembering is Life.
This, in my current understanding is our purpose- to forget less,
To circle back around to knowing.
In this form, we cannot know fully but we can actively seek to forget less.
I believe forgetting less is best done together- in community.
You help me remember then I do the same for you.
I am light and I am shadow.
I am here while I am in other places.
I catch glimpses from time to time.
The more I seek, the less I know.
When I wasn’t seeking, I was shown eternity.
I have been here before.
My lessons have been my lessons before.
Some I remember and retain.
Others, I remember then forget.
My insecurities, my flaws, my vulnerabilities
have been revealed to me in this life.
They are mostly known and still I try and run from them,
gloss over them, desperately pretend they are not shaping my experience.
They are the places I fold upon myself.
These folds alter the way the river of Life flows thru me.
These folds make me a unique vessel.
My patterns are similar yet different from yours.
I have heard it said that our wounds are different but our scars are the same.
In this way, each of us is a unique masterpiece,
a flawed holy and sacred mess.
Isn’t it remarkable (yet not surprising) that the moments we exhale and unfold turn out to be the truest moments of our lives?
This life is a paradox through and through.
I believe we embody in order to unfold.
It is in the unfolding, that we remember.
Dear friend, perhaps it is time to circle up and recommit to one another and our remembering.
Lately I have been shown a recurrent vision.
I am a golden drop of Light swan-diving into a vast and deep ocean of golden Light.
It is simple. It feels like love.
And it makes me smile and Remember-
if even for a moment.
You were there.
